Code of Conduct for Participants

Our Commitment to Excellence

At Manners on Point School of Etiquette, professionalism, integrity, respect and excellence guide everything we do. Our programmes are designed to provide a safe, welcoming and enjoyable learning environment where every participant is treated with dignity and respect.

This Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behaviour expected of all participants attending our programmes, whether in person or online.

1. Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all participants attending programmes organised by Manners on Point School of Etiquette, including:

* Children, tweens and teenagers
* Adult participants
* Parents and guardians attending programmes
* Corporate delegates
* School groups
* Private coaching clients
* Virtual programme participants

2. Respect for Others

Participants are expected to:

* Treat trainers, staff and fellow participants with courtesy and respect.
* Value different backgrounds, cultures and perspectives.
* Contribute positively to the learning environment.
* Avoid behaviour that intimidates, embarrasses or excludes others.

3. Professional Behaviour

Participants are expected to:

* Arrive on time and remain for the duration of the programme where possible.
* Follow instructions provided by trainers and facilitators.
* Participate respectfully and responsibly.
* Use polite and appropriate language at all times.

4. Personal Conduct

The following behaviour is not permitted:

* Bullying, harassment or intimidation.
* Physical or verbal abuse.
* Disruptive behaviour that interferes with learning.
* Discrimination of any kind.
* Damage to property or facilities.
* Possession or use of illegal substances or weapons at any Manners on Point programme.

5. Dress and Personal Presentation

Participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the programme they are attending.

Where a dress code is specified, participants are expected to comply with the communicated requirements.

6. Mobile Phones and Electronic Devices

To minimise distractions:

* Mobile phones should be placed on silent mode during training sessions unless otherwise instructed.
* Photography, video recording or audio recording may only take place with the prior permission of Manners on Point School of Etiquette.

7. Children’s Programmes

Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that children understand and follow programme expectations.

Children are expected to:

* Listen to trainers and facilitators.
* Treat fellow participants with kindness and respect.
* Follow safety instructions.
* Care for programme materials and facilities.

8. Health and Safety

Participants must:

* Follow all health and safety instructions.
* Inform trainers of any urgent medical concern where appropriate.
* Help maintain a safe environment for everyone.

9. Breach of this Code

Where a participant’s behaviour seriously affects the safety, wellbeing or learning experience of others, Manners on Point School of Etiquette reserves the right to:

* issue a verbal reminder or warning;
* request corrective behaviour;
* ask the participant to leave the programme; or
* discontinue participation where necessary.

Any action taken will be fair, proportionate and appropriate to the circumstances.
